Polishing up our physical shape

After an intense preparation, we played our first friendly game against Saint-Etienne, a derby. We tied, 0-0, under a pouring rain. We didn't play too bad, but we missed fluidity in our game. It's a little bit normal for our first match, but we could do better. Today, we participated to a tournament in Saint Bonnet De Mure. We won all four games, beating Entente Orange, 1-0; Claix, 3-0; Nivolas, 3-0; and La Véore, 6-0.

The beginning was difficult, but we knew how to raise our level of play to finally win. They are only matches of preparation to polish up our physical shape. Indeed, the serious things begin next week, and we understood it well. Patrice Lair spoke to us for a long time, telling us that we were also as important as the first team, that we were a family, and he relied on us.

Tomorrow, all of the team goes to see the second championship match of the girls against Hénin-Beaumont at Gerland Stadium. We expect to see a beautiful match and especially many goals.

The new season has arrived

After a short holiday, it's time to start a new season, which I hope goes better than the last one. New season means news teammates, new coach, and new equipment. But before replaying, it's necessary to get ready physically. We have a filled program composed of physical work, tests, body-building, and games, but that is for later.

While waiting for the first friendly match, programmed the 27th of August, and God knows that I' m impatient, I had to prepare my body. Our objectives are to win everything: The U-18, U-19, Honnor championships, and of course the Women's Champion's League! Whether it's for youth or for the first team, the objectives are the same for all. We are competitors and play to win, otherwise we would not be there. It's also the start of term. I am going to see again my friends. It's the last year before the high school diploma, so I am going to continue to work and to make everything to succeed. This year looks so filled as the previous one. I really hope it will be a beautiful season!

Every journey is transformed into dreams

I've never blogged in my life, so it's new for me. My name is Coraline Quinet. I'm 16 years old. I come from Lyon, in France. I've always hesitated between basketball and football. I began basketball at the age of 5 in the club of my region and played for seven years. I was in regional selection. I was promised a beautiful future, but I decided to stop and try to play football.

It was difficult because of so few teams. I contacted the coach of OL named Anne-Sophie. I made tryouts, and that's where everything began. I was positioned in the "middle," and it's in this post that I have scored two times in my first match. Now I play in "defence" (central or left). That makes it five years that I have played in OL.

I wanted to play football to prove to myself that I can succeed in a "boy's sport" (before). It was a challenge, and I really want to succeed. My family has always been present to support and encourage me. In spite of the tests (I lost my mum at the age of 7), I've always advanced because I think that the LIFE is very beautiful and deserves to be lived!

I attend Frederic Fays High School, which is a school where we can both study and do sport. We begin at 8 a.m. and go until 3:45 p.m., and after, we have a bus which brings us to the stadium from 4:30 till 6:30. The trainings are every day, except Tuesday and Wednesday, twice a day: 9:30-11:30/ 16:30-18.30/9:30-11:30/14:00/16:00. We have an awesome team, teammates, staff, structure, and I'd like to think this is just the start!

For me, life is like a journey and every journey is transformed into dreams, and it's of all this that we consist. My dream most beautiful would be to play for my country, but while waiting, I continue to work hard, and for the rest, only God will know it.
